AMBROSE CREATIVES LAUNCHES ITS CURATORIAL INITIATIVE WITH ‘‘UNFIXED’’

On March 10, 2026, Ambrose Creatives launched UNFIXED, its inaugural digital exhibition dedicated to contemporary abstract painting. Bringing together a curated selection of artists working in abstraction, the exhibition celebrates works that resist closure and certainty, inviting viewers into a space where interpretation remains fluid, relational and perpetually in motion.

In UNFIXED, no idea or form is fixed. Each painting exists not as a definitive statement, but as a starting point for dialogue - communicating with other artworks in the exhibition and with the viewer encountering them. The result is a living visual exchange that reflects the unpredictable, multifaceted nature of contemporary experience.

Presented within an immersive 360° virtual gallery hosted on Kunstmatrix, the exhibition allows audiences to move through the space freely, observing how different moods, energies and visual rhythms interact with one another. Some works feel lighter and more expansive, while others carry greater density and emotional intensity. These contrasts create a dynamic flow within the exhibition - mirroring the layered, unstable and ultimately unfixed nature of life itself.

UNFIXED is about openness - to expression, interpretation and being true to oneself

UNFIXED is about openness - to expression, interpretation and being true to oneself,” says Beatrice Ramasauskaite, founder of Ambrose Creatives. “Abstract art resonates perfectly with these values, allowing meaning to remain fluid and relational. Each artwork speaks visually to the viewer and through the published interviews with each artist, offering deeper insight into their practice. At the same time, the works engage in a visual dialogue with one another within the curated exhibition space, creating a dynamic field of connection and resonance.”

Ambrose Creatives launches the curatorial initiative to foster connectivity among artists, writers and cultural partners. According to her, exhibitions like this bring people together regardless of location and allow for deeper interaction with both the art and one another. With the digital format and AR functionality, the experience becomes accessible globally, enabling collectors, audiences and artists to engage directly within their own spaces.

How to Experience UNFIXED

Because UNFIXED is presented as an interactive digital exhibition, visitors can explore the works in several different ways depending on how they prefer to engage with art online.

1. Browse the artists and artworks
The exhibition page presents each participating artist alongside selected works and information. This allows visitors to explore the exhibition in a more traditional format, discovering the artists individually and moving between artworks at their own pace.

2. Walk through the 360° virtual gallery
For a more immersive experience, visitors can enter the full 360° virtual exhibition space, where the artworks are installed within a digital gallery environment. Here, you can “walk” through the exhibition, observe the relationships between works, zoom into details, and experience the curatorial flow as it unfolds spatially.

3. View the artworks in your own space through AR
Visitors can also access the exhibition through an augmented reality experience. By scanning the QR code provided on the exhibition page and downloading the viewing app, artworks can be placed directly into your physical environment through your phone’s camera. This allows the works to be experienced within your own surroundings - creating a unique encounter between artwork, viewer and space.

Together, these modes of viewing expand the possibilities of exhibition-making, transforming the act of viewing into a flexible and participatory experience rather than a static presentation.

Continuing the Dialogue

Alongside the exhibition, The Ambrosia Journal will publish a series of interviews with the participating artists. Released one at a time throughout the duration of the exhibition, these conversations will explore the artists’ creative processes, conceptual frameworks and the ideas that shape their work.

The aim is to move beyond the surface of the artworks and create a deeper dialogue around contemporary abstract painting - allowing readers and viewers to engage not only with the works themselves, but also with the thinking and experimentation that brought them into being.

As the first exhibition presented by Ambrose Creatives, UNFIXED marks the beginning of an ongoing curatorial initiative dedicated to artistic freedom, experimental presentation and meaningful engagement between artists and audiences. By embracing digital space as both a gallery and a meeting point, the exhibition opens new ways for contemporary painting to be experienced, interpreted and shared.
