‘‘Spectrum N.16 is inspired by the awe I feel at sunset on my vineyard in France. It’s about capturing on paper the special time just before the sky fades into darkness at the end of a day. For a few minutes, shapes and colours are at their most pronounced, just before they disappear as the light rapidly fades. As an artist, I take deep inspiration from this transitory moment.’’
